Welcome
to our website,we hope you enjoy looking around...
Who are we?
We are constituted as a general modelling club, but our core activity
is model boats. We are affiliated to the MPBA [Model Power Boat Associaton].We are also insured for pubic liability.
Where do we meet?
The club is licensed by the Doncaster metropolitan Borough council to use the Dome Lake.We sail on a Sunday
afternoon from about 1pm onwards and get together on a wednesday evening after 6pm[summer months 5pm] at the lake, situated
behind the Doncaster Dome Leisure Park. the Dome provides us with clubroom facilities [inc toilets] which overlook the lake. These facilities are used mainly
on Wednesday evening when we meet for social, business and training sessions. During the lighter Wednesday evenings we will
also sail and somtimes we have evening sailing with lights. Men and Woman of all ages come to sail, our club is not just about
sailing it's about getting together and having fun.
What else do we do?
We have a varied programme of events including Scale Regattas,Tug Tows, Club 500 Racing and Yacht Racing, there
is ample opportunity for the non-competitive to have a relaxing sail. Some members attend events, sometimes competitive,at other
venues and as a club we support appropriate public functions and charities.as a club we also go to other boat club venues
to display our boats and also to support other clubs.
What are membership benefits?
Members of a club share in the mutual interest and friendship of others.Skills can be exchanged and experience
passed on Help and advice is always freely available from within the pool of expertise within the club.advice gained can save
you making expensive mistakes in the choice of equipment or construction methods.Being a member of CADMA gives you somewhere
to sail your model boat legally and safely.
